Sail Away....!

A friend asked me to make a crd for him for his wife's 30th; when I asked what she liked etc to get an idea of what to put on all he could come up with was sailing as they have a boat - had to think about it for a while but thanks to a Magnolia stamp I came up with this [and apparently she loved it, phew!]

Another 60th Birthday

Another commissioned card for a 60th birthday; I was advised that the lady it was for likes holidays so I used two images from the Tilda 'Bon Voyage' collection and used a 'Ticket' tag for the sentiment to tie in with the travel theme.

My Poor Neglected Blog....

Well I thought moving house would mean my blog, and card-making in general, would be neglected for a while but didn't think it would be for this long! Thanks to BT being the most useless company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with I have had to wait 40, yes 40, days and nights for my landline to be installed and thus have not had internet access at home.... Finally got it installed last weekend and then over the last week I have had revision to do but now - internet working, study over [for now at least] so I can pay some overdue attention to getting my blog up to date. I have made a few cards since I moved house, though, and will now try to remember how to upload the pics on here!!!

I went to the Stamp Magic and Papercraft Show at Doncaster Dome at the end of June. A lovely day out, despite getting stuck in traffic onthe way there and the heat - the tenperature in the car was 37!! when we got back to it. My poor neglected Blog....

Oh dear, my poor neglected blog hasn't been added to for nearly 2 months - oooops... In my defence, I have been very busy, with a couple of weekends away, studying and nearly all of my crafting time has been spent making wedding stationary for a friend of work. Unfortunately I can't guarantee to be more attentive to it over the next few weeks either but will try not to leave it so long next time!!! Anyway, I'll now see if I can remember how to upload pics on here with the wedding stationary I've been making and a few other cards I've done as well!!!

Cards Made Today / Yesterday

Here are three cards I made today/yesterday. The Tilda and Sugar Nellie are done with colours that I don't usually use - a change from my usual pink and purple themes! I also made 20 wedding place cards and a couple of 'quick' cards but haven't taken pics of these yet.

Another Tilda from the Spring Kit; papers are Kate Knight ones that were free with Cardmaking Papercraft this month, Tilda mounted on Nellie Snellen frames.

Sugar Nellie / Elisabeth Bell stamp - first time I have used this stamp; papers are from Basic Grey Cupcake range

Anniversary card for my Sister & Bro-in-Law; digistamp from Pink Petticoat, background paper is one I've had for ages [not sure where from?!]. Glasses have been highlighted with Stardust pens and then 'filled' with 3-D gloss to give a ''bubbly'' effect!

Another busy week - won't bore you with the details(!) but did get a little bit of crafting done too. I still have tomorrow and Tuesday off, although I don't think tomorrow will have much doing crafting time but I am planning on going to a craft shop, yay! I also made a start on the wedding stationary order I've got, starting off the first 20 place cards but can't do any more yet until I order the rest of the stock! Another Onion

Another 'Onion Plays Football' card. This time I've decoupaged the stamped image to give it more depth.
